The app works for the most part but why is it so dated?

Sametime is not organizing messages by time. They come in and are placed in random order. New messages get randomly placed at the top, bottom, or middle of a conversation making it impossible to keep track of a discussion.

I havent been able to Logon to this app since Ive downloaded. I have looked everywhere for good instructions but havent found anything yet. Not intuitive at all..

Needs an update to the iOS 7 SDK. It would also be nice to be able to set alerts for when people become available as you can do in the Notes-integrated version. Crashes on launch occasionally.

Overall it works well. I wish the IBM Connections team would take ownership of this Sametime app and redo the interface. (Network Admins, Remember that you must add the Sametime Proxy server, and use proper firewall settings.)

IBM always does the absolute minimum when it comes to writing code. Their public software offerings are bottom of the barrel. Lotus Notes, Sametime, etc... are shinning examples. I dont know if the company isnt paying their employees competitive salaries, or leadership just doesnt care. Probably both.

Works great! Couldnt do my job without it.

Gave it a shot to the corporate server; worked once, but now its nothing but an "unexpected login error" with no explanation, and the documentation doesnt even point you in a troubleshooting direction. I wish it worked enough for a more thoughtful review.

The app functions well.

It was working fine till last week and it started to show service unavailable error so often..

Nice app that gives you all key chat features of Samtime. However, the app session does not run in background! As soon as I minimize the app, the session dies and needs re-login, weird!

Always problem, error, crushed. Error 404, no idea how to solve it. Please fix it! Make an available version in store! Or please delete this app.

Could not log in at all! Please fix!

Cannot log in, verified settings with Quip which is an application working flawlessly. This app just does not want to log in. I give up.

For those leaving poor reviews, I cant help but think youre trying this on your own with no knowledge of what server, port, etc that you need. You may also need to VPN into your corporate network to access your Sametime servers. You need to ask your IT administrator for the appropriate settings, etc. if you expect it to work at all. The app works great as a secure, real-time communication tool. It is consistently updated and improved, which is great. No complaints, once you get past the initial setup!

When are you going to release a version that does not logout after just a few minutes but instead respects the "Remain Online" setting?

My friends who have older devices are still able to use this app (which hasnt had the name changed from Sametime), but Im running the application with the same proxy and port as they are and getting bad results. It imports new cut group names, but doesnt delete old ones. It disconnects my connection on other devices and shows me as available, but doesnt show any other users as being online and doesnt send me the messages they type.

Don’t get me wrong I absolutely am a huge fan of IBM but this app os horrible! It is constantly crashing, app dose one thing when you tell it do do something ells, has a mind of its own. I communicate with a co-workers around the globe and many times we resort to using whatApp because one of us can’t seem to show the other user we are online. And if you are not online it won’t let you send a message. Also when you type the keypad takes up 50% of the screen 10% to let you know they are typing, and 10% their name, leaves what feels like 30% of chat room. IBM seriously need to spend more time on app development. I would say this is the IBM BUGGED UP APP!

After the last update, the app shows all contacts as offline. Chat is now unavailable and worthless. Please fix!
